Coordinating the establishment of data base among member agencies

Obtaining membership in the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) for NASDEA members agencies

Interacting with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to insure inclusion of accurate drug data in the revamped Uniform Crime Reporting System (UCR) that will be used beginning 1992

Promoting a national Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program

Working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to establish policies that further enhance the federal working relationships with NASDEA members

Placing a NASDEA representative on the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Committee

Coordinating with the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP)

Assisting member agencies in the development and establishment of:

    Marijuana Eradication Programs

    Clandestine Laboratory Programs

    Precursor Chemical Monitoring Programs

    Operation Pipeline Highway Drug Interdiction Programs

    State-level Narcotics Officers Associations

    Officer Safety Training

    Innovative Contemporary Investigative Strategies

    Programs to increase staffing and funding
