NASDEA Board creates and appoints an Executive Director

July 1st, 2021

As lined out in the NASDEA Bylaws, Article X – Staff Members: Section A, the Board of Directors can “retain an Executive Director to conduct day-to-day operation of NASDEA”.  The Alliance is proud to announce that as of July 1, 2021, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to create an Executive Director position.  The Board’s intentions for this action are to take NASDEA to a higher level by having someone who can take on administrative tasks, lesson the responsibilities of member states who volunteer to host bi-annual meetings, and strengthen Corporate Partner relationships.

In response to the Board’s decision, they ultimately elected to appoint, T.J. Jordan, formally an Assistant Director with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Prior to T.J.’s retirement in 2021, his time as a law enforcement official spanned over 34 years and he was an active member of NASDEA for nearly 20 years. He also participated on the Board of Directors for several years.  Executive Director Jordan officially took on his new role as of July 1, 2021.
