The Scholarship Committee proposed increasing the NASDEA Regional Scholarship amount to better support the educational needs of children and grandchildren of sworn personnel from NASDEA member agencies. The proposed increase reflects the organization's continued dedication to assisting member families and adapting to rising educational costs.
A motion was made and seconded to approve an increase in the NASDEA Regional Scholarship awards from $1,500 to $2,500 per recipient. The motion was approved. Beginning with the next scholarship cycle, NASDEA Regional Scholarship awards will be set at $2,500 each.
